My first post- and introduction!

 Hi all,

Just a quick post to introduce myself to the blogging world.

My name is Marcie, I am a Secondary dance teacher in outer London. This blog is mainly to document, discuss and delve into my Masters in Professional Practice, Dance Technique and Pedagogy.

I will be using this blog to post discussion topics, thoughts and musings around the 3 module's I will be studying throughout my masters programme. 

A little bit about me...

I am currently teaching dance at a secondary school in Hounslow, it is my NQT year- all within COVID craziness! Last year I completed my PGCE through the SCITT route, validated by the University of Winchester.

Prior to this I completed my BA (Hons) Undergraduate Degree in Musical Theatre at Buckinghamshire New University. 

Alongside my studies I have spent time dancing, cheerleading and teaching in various disciplines. I have enjoyed teaching for local programmes, dance schools, freelance workshops and even venturing into some fitness based classes.

I hope over this Masters programme I can develop my professional practice and truly reflect on how to further my practice.
